Every year in the run up to Christmas Boots hold weekly ‘Star Buys’ and the one everyone (especially me!) looks forward to the most is the Soap and Glory gift set that is always less than half price. This years goodies came in a very pink, girly and stylish box that came in two designs, one exclusive in store and the other exclusive online. I was very happy to get one for my birthday (which is just before Christmas!) and have had an amazing few weeks testing all of the treats!,

With all the products being full size this gift box is more than amazing value for money in comparison to other Soap and Glory sets as all together I got nearly £80 worth of smellies for £29! I also thought the mix of goodies was great this year and it is nice to have a number of new products too, although I would love to see one less Bath and Body product and maybe one more Skincare product instead. This blog is going to look at and review a few of my favourite products from THE NEXT BIG THING™ including some of my old favourites.
Usually in the gift sets there is one hand cream and something for your feet. This year was no exception and the box included HEEL GENIUS™ and HAND DREAM™. I have tried HEEL GENIUS™ before and think as a leave on foot mask it is one of the best I have used. The minty, menthol smell is strangely pleasant and my feet feel amazingly soft in the morning. HAND DREAM™ on the other hand is new to, as I am used to HAND FOOD™ as I carry the miniature ones around with me all year. So far, I am very impressed with HAND DREAM™, although I do miss the smell of marshmallow where ever I go! The 5-in-1 hand treatment really leaves my hands feeling soft, it is hands down (haha!) the best hand cream I have ever tried and will definitely be buying it again when I run out.
Being a big fan of SMOOTHIE STAR BREAKFAST SCRUB™ and FLAKE AWAY™, I was really really excited to have a new scrub to try in this years box. As soon as I opened the tub I could smell the citrus lime scent which is very refreshing. As for the scrub I have used it a few times and I still have tonnes left, so I am really pleased the amount you actually get. The scrub itself is awesome and my legs have felt silky smooth all week – I even braved no tights on NYE despite the freezing weather!
The Soap and Glory makeup products that came in the box this year are the same as always, which for me was a little bit disappointing but for £29 I soon got over it. I love SEXY MOTHER PUCKER, not only for its amazing name but it is one of the few lip plumpers I have tried and liked. Once I get over the strong tingling sensation my lips look very plump and the shade ‘Charm Offensive’ isn’t too bad either.
THICK AND FAST™ mascara is not one I would have thought of buying until I had it in a gift set a few years back, but it is actually a really good mascara for the price it is. The mascara has natural wax film former’s which means you get no clumps when applying and its SUPERFILL™ Falsh Lash Fillers mean that you get an amazing amount of volume – perfect!
WHIPPED CLEAN™ is another product that was new to me, and is definitely one I will be buying again. The Cocoa and Shea butters make the shower butter smell amazing, it even has to state on the back ‘This is not food, its a body wash’ – yum! Not only does it smell great, but it feels great too and since I saw that the packaging suggested using this product for shaving, it has now become my much loved shaving gel. When I saw that THE NEXT BIG THING™ had ORANGEASM in it I was really unsure what I would think as normally I am not a fan of anything with an orange scent but this product has a really subtle lemony and orange scent to it which I actually really like. The body was contains three Soap and Glory secrets; MSUDS™ technology, TRIPLE TEA™ antioxidant complex and GINSENG and PINKPEPPERBERRY™ which means every time I use it a smell and feel absolutely amazing.
THE NEXT BIG THING™ is one of my favourite things about Boots and now that I have a whole haul of Soap and Glory products that I love I can’t wait to try more and more!
